I grew up curious in the Midwest. To start answering questions I had within myself I began to use my camera as an excuse to talk to strangers. I started this journey at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2011. Through photography I have met almost every friend I have in my adult life; discovered incredible strength in myself and uncovered limits that I was unaware of. In 2016 I took a break from newspapers and moved to Mt. LeConte, the second highest peak in the Great Smoky Mountains to be the assistant cook at LeConte Lodge. There was no electricity, my crew mates and I had to hike 5 miles to our home and it was a whole lot of fun. Now I am down from the mountain living in Knoxville, Tenn. and exploring new ways to meet people, tell stories and hopefully learn a few more things.
